Just bought a used saxophone and found a reed pro mini in the case. How do I sterilize the reed pro mini and how is it used? Can I also reuse someone else reeds if I sterilize them? I haven’t played a saxophone in more than 50 years and only played for 2 years in Jr High. Any recommendations will help. Thanks

Hi Mike,
You can wash reed pros with lukewarm water and soap (same as washing your hands). I wouldn’t reuse someone else’s reeds, but if you still want to try, I’d soak them in 190 proof (95% ALC/Vol) Grain Alcohol (the kind you can find at the liquor store) first.
